Climate First Bank

Interstruct Select Projects recently completed work on an office for Climate First Bank at 215 E. Livingston Street in Orlando. Climate First is the world’s first FDIC-insured community bank that is dedicated to sustainability and the environment—two core values of Interstruct and why we bank with them.

This 2,553 SF project was a second generation (formerly a law firm) commercial build-out in what was previously a 1920’s single-family home, rebuilt in 2001, in the Lake Eola Heights Historic District.

What started off as a single-story interior renovation for the bank turned into a full interior renovation, which included replacing all of the windows with energy-efficient solutions. The oak floors were applied with Rubio Monocoat, an environmentally friendly finish that delivers deep, rich color.

Interstruct worked closely with Climate First Bank CEO Lex Ford and Felipe Ferreira, EVP/Director of Residential Lending, on their vision for the project. In partnership with REAL Building Consultants and our vendors, the team worked to make the right choices to help Climate First Bank achieve Gold LEED status.

Interstruct Select Projects provides tailored solutions and expertise for select commercial construction projects. The nature of a small build in an Historic Preservation Board-approved building made this a great fit for the Select Projects division, which is led by Spencer Mitchell.
