Sand Lake Commons Medical Office Building
Interstruct was engaged for design + build ground up construction of Sand Lake Commons medical office building in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando. The 22,021 SF building is owned by a group of white-coat investors. The completed building will house various medical offices, including Surgical Group of Orlando and The Cardiovascular Center of Florida, making it a destination healthcare center for the community. Interstruct also handled design and construction for the offices for Dr. Danelle Chambers at Surgical Center of Orlando and Dr. Israel J. Mantecon at The Cardiovascular Center of Florida.
The goal for the design team was to stand out from the typical stucco-box medical office buildings found across the state. The Interstruct Design team accomplished this with an innovative approach that paired the clean, contemporary lines of the façade with a structural tectonic overhang. The result is a sleek, functional exterior that reflects Florida vernacular style and provides a modern, easily accessible environment for healthcare providers and their patients.
