Walter’s Tavern at Great Southern Box Company
Interstruct recently completed a design + build for Walter’s Tavern, a 3,812 SF upscale sports bar and restaurant in Orlando. The restaurant is part of Great Southern Box Company Food Hall and Bar, a 27,000 SF former citrus packing warehouse transformed into a food hall and destination dining anchor in the city’s trendy Packing District.
Interstruct Design provided the architecture. The industrial-modern look takes ample use of the warehouse-style space, with separate gathering areas and complemented by rich textures, deep colors and custom furnishings that reflect the building’s history as the epicenter of the citrus industry in the 1930s. The open space offers craft cocktails, live entertainment and an elevated sports viewing experience.
The project showcases Interstruct’s deep hospitality expertise, melding adaptive reuse with innovative, custom design to create one-of-a-kind dining destinations that help shape a city’s profile.
