2218 Vine Street
2218 Vine Street is a fully remodeled single-family home in the Hourglass District that returns a longtime vacant home to Orlando’s housing pool as an architect-designed rental, managed by Olde Town Brokers.
It was a 1950s concrete block structure zoned as residential that we remade into a modern 850 SF single-family home. Interstruct used every bit of its in-house expertise – design, construction management, and real estate – to bring the Vine Street house to life and add to our expanding architect-as-developer residential portfolio, Francis Park in the Hourglass.
Many of you may remember it as the “Bee House,” named for the Maureen Hudas mural I commissioned to give the unused structure some color, whimsy and life while we waited for our variance approval from Orange County. It took three years! See the “before” and Interstruct Design’s rendering for “after” here.
This project is in alignment with Mayor Demings Housing For All agenda and we have more exciting projects planned for Francis Park in the Hourglass.
We’re always looking for more opportunities to do infill work, develop our own projects, and help clients realize the full potential of their own projects.
